Drop Penalty Discussion

With the Off-Season here, it is time to discuss some rules that people have brought up and see if we leave them the same, tweak them, or change them

The first rule discussion up will be the drop penalty. 

So any ideas on how we should change the rule please post your ideas below. Once we have probably 3 viable options I will create a poll so the league can vote

1. Keep the Same

2. In-Season: 1y players dropped do not incur a drop penatly, 2y+ remain same

3. Add stipulation that QB/K added for bye week replacements are free drops(If this is put in place, QB/K bye week replacements would only be allowed to be signed to a 1y contract)

Any player dropped with 1y left on contract gets no penalty. Rule stays the same for all others. This would make it a bit easier on owners who get hit with massive injuries in a season.

I think a rule that we should put in as part of this, or even add separately is, when teams drop a bye week QB/K fill in, those should be free drops.

I probably should have made that the case to begin with, but in the aim to make this league as competitive as possible, a free drop makes sense so that teams don't feel like it is more of a hindrance than a benefit to fill their lineup for the week.
