Hey all, again, I can't say it enough, thanks to you all for a fun, successful 2022 and 3rd LHL Season! As we move into the off-season there are a few things I am looking at changing to improve the league as a whole, these are infrastructure changes that should have been set up from the jump and I apologize for not doing so to start off the league.
1. I do realize that I was trying to take on too much by updating rosters here and on fantrax by myself, I did have some help from Trey this season, but I would like to make it an official role for someone or 2 people. (Trey and Sal will likely take this role on as Trey already has those powers and Sal has said he will help anyway he can).
1a. This role would also help me with the rookie draft, RFA, and early stages of UFA as those are things that need to be watched closely and more frequently.
2. I would love to add someone to the staff to help me keep track of records as the season rolls through, or at the end of the regular and post season. Obviously with the records we have already going with points, owners regular and post season records, but there are a couple I would love to add.
2a. When I started putting this league together I wanted to make it a little more in depth than just your standard dynasty league where teams just set their lineups and didn't care about records like this, I want to be able to have this league around for a long time and be able to look back and see the amazing owners we have had and see what records they and their players hold in this league, I think it adds to the personal ownership of our teams.
3. I noticed it more and more each week this past season and it is something that will be addressed moving forward, that is of course, lineups not being set. I am looking to get 2 people to help with that as well, whether that be a guy or 2 that have a role in another area, or not remains to be seen. Not setting lineups goes against have the most competitive and true result league we can have. I understand things happen and guys are in the lineup when we didn't intend them to be, guys are set to play then don't, things of that nature. There were plenty of occasions that teams just did not make an effort to set a lineup. That will be dealt with more strictly moving forward.
4. Not as important as the other things above, and one that if the help is provided with the others above, I may not even need help with is the twitter for this league. Some of you might not care that we have a twitter for the league, totally fun. I did it more so to have some fun with the league. I would love to start making posts about any and every trade, signing, release, etc. Post Power Rankings and matchups every week. Draft picks during the rookie draft when they happen, RFA signigns (matched or not), records broken. Playoff picture updates. Again not a huge deal just a thing I would personally like to add to the league
