Think we need to look at pts for int/fumble return yards. I’m all for making defense important, but 1 pick 1 tk 1 pd should not equal 30 plus points. Just my opinion. Haven’t noticed it before now, but these seems a bit much. For comparison purposes, my RB went for 160 on the ground and 2 tds another 60 plus receiving and a TD and only scored 47. No way 1 play in a game should damn near equal that output.

I hear you, I did some things to make the scoring higher for defense so they were closer to the offense and I think I did that based on years past scoring with this set up, but there were still only about 10 DPs in the top 50 in points overall.
I am not going to overreact to 1 big point game from a huge INT returned for a TD though.
I am open to discussing it and I am also already looking at a point system that I really like that I found right before the season to bring to the league to see if we want to move to it.
We are in the first year of a new league so I fully understand that we do not have things perfect right now, but we will work at it to make this the best possible league it can be

It wasn’t returned for a TD is the problem. Just a 66yd return at .4 per yard that’s 26pts. Obviously we can’t change it this year, just think we need to look at tweaking it for next. Final stat line was 1 tk 1int 2 pd. 31 pts.

By the way, I’m not complaining. I completely get what you were trying to do with the scoring set up. Just think we may have gone a bit too far. Maybe add to sacks or tackles. But .4 for return yardage is just too high. Imagine a 100yrd return for a TD. That would be nearly 50 pts. That’s entirely to much for a single play

Just as a note as well, I need to add PR stats to offense like they are on defense for next year, I thought I had it set up the right way, but noticed it last week that it wasn't.
I totally hear you Mike and I do see the point of how big a 100 yard pick 6 would be, I should have set the INT yards to like .2 because in both Canton and DFL it is at .1, so .4 in hindsight was a bit much

We had another occurrence like the one mentioned above: Budda Baker had the 90-yard INT (no TD) and scored 44, I believe, on the play. I understand these plays don't happen often, but still don't think they should affect our matchups as much as they can/have. At the very least seems the yardage output should be .1 rather than .4.
But overall, Malachi, I do love the scoring and how well you did with keeping defense in line with offensive output. Just these random scenarios tilt the difference a little too much.
Best of luck to all!

Best of luck to all! I completely agree that the INT and Fumble Recovery Return yards need to be adjusted down. So here is the link to the scoring system, I found and am very much wanting to hear your guys thoughts on expandtheboxscore.com/nfl/idp-fantasy-football-123-scoring/It balances the scoring, I think even more than what I set up. I also totally understand that people will not like it because it is a little different than how they built their team, but I do think it is a scoring system that will become very widely used in IDP leagues and will start to be the standard for which people base IDP rankings off of. Me posting this now is just so we can talk about it, see what people think and have it in people's minds for the off-season.
