I am just gonna go ahead and say teams are not allowed to own 2 K unless it is their K bye week. I don't think anyone would really argue with that, right?
Figuring out our rule on having more than 1 QB, these are the options:
1. $5 Penalty if a team owns 2 STARTING QBs. Teams can own multiple QBs with no penalty as long as only 1 of them is a starter. Who the starter is will be determined by rotoworld depth charts
2. $10 Penalty if a team owns 2 STARTING QBs. Teams can own multiple QBs with no penalty as long as only 1 of them is a starter. Who the starter is will be determined by rotoworld depth charts
3. No 2nd starting QB will be allowed at all. Any move to try and acquire a 2nd starting QB will be voided immediately. Teams will still be allowed to own QBs that are not starters
4. If a team owns a 2nd starting QB they lose a draft pick (Would likely need a discussion or vote about the round of pick, this is my least favorite option even lower on my list than no penalty)
5. No Penalty, teams can own multiple QBs (I feel like this could hurt the league, but I understand why people would like this option)

Voted for not allowing 2nd starter at all. Really think there needs to be another option of
Only 1 starter to begin the season. Shouldn’t be penalized if a bench guy becomes a starter. Should also be able to pick up a starter for bye week replacement

Should also be able to pick up a starter for bye week replacement I knew there was something about this rule that I was missing. A bye week starter is fine, the QB becoming a starter middle of the season is a little trickier, but I would be fine with that not causing a penalty

I like 2 QB no penalty. If we go 2 1 QB, and it is a bye week. I feel we should not lose our starter because of bye. The Starter should be on the bench and could start the following week.

After I think about it we have 24 teams and 32 start. We are over thinking this I think, and I forgot we don’t have 32 teams. My vote is for no penalty

17 Votes, the $10 penalty is leading, but we need more votes.

With a vote of 11-6-2-1 we will have a $10 penalty for teams having 2 STARTING QBs on their rosters.
Stipulations to the rules will include, being allowed to own a 2nd QB for a bye week and no penalty if a backup becomes a starter in the middle of the season
If you trade for a 2nd QB in the middle of the season, it automatically adds a $10 penalty to your team
The $10 penalty will drop to $5 if you have a 2nd starting QB during the season, but either trade or release one of them
If you place a QB on the IR and pick up a new one, the $10 will be applied if you try to activate your IR QB while still owning the other QB

I do have a question. What's the deadline rule to release a 2nd starting QB?
For example. You pick up a 2nd QB for the bye week. What's the cutoff to prevent the penalty?
The other question is regarding the Rookie Draft. If you draft a QB in the main draft and end up taking a Rookie that is LIKELY to start, what is the action? Do we have to release immediately or can we wait until week 1 in order to see if our Rookie wins the starting job?
Or are Rookies exempt from the 2 starter rule?

Cut off to make a drop will be Thursday at 5:59 PM EST. If the team owns a QB after that time they will be hit with the $10 penalty. Teams can own 2 QBs in the offseason, the deadline to be down to 1 starting QB will be the Sunday before the first Thursday night game, at 11:59 PM EST

Is there a grace period that starting QB for NFL team has to be named prior to deadline to get hit with the penalty? Injuries, or Rookies would be the only ones this really applies to.

In my experience teams do not announce who the starter is the day of a game, if that does ever happen, sure there will be no penalty that week, because the team that owns that QB could not predict that
