One thing that this league has that others don't is the RFA bidding in the off-season, it is something that was in the first dynasty league I was in, that was super fun and created a lot of activity over the summer in the league
Something I still think we need to decide is the order. I believe the other league went
1. K 2. DL 3. DB 4. TE 5. WR 6. RB 7. LB 8. QB
Do we want to go with that, or start with the more influential positions first, so flip the order and go
1. QB 2. LB 3. RB 4. WR 5. TE 6. DB 7. DL 8. K
Other orders for this are welcome

Another thing, we might need to discuss. This will last 8 weeks, and how the other league did it is, once a bid is opened on a player the rest of the league has 24 hours to get in on the bidding for the player, then the next 24 hours was the final bidding, so once that 24 hour window ends there are no more bids and the team that has the RFA rights to the player has 24 hours to match the final bid or let the team that made the high bid sign the player.
It creates some sniping on bids, which sucks a bit, but letting it go until a bid stands for 24 hours could cause the bidding to last a long time. Andrew, Eric, and Sal were all in that league for a bit so they can attest to this system (if they want). I don't believe anyone else was in that league, but I could just not have known they were (it has been 4-5 years at least since that league collapsed)
My question for the league is are we good with the 24 hour first window, 24 hour final bid window, 24 hour for RFA rights holders to match or not
I believe it will be the best way to do this, but I am open to changing it up a bit to mirror UFA more.

I'd say the list with QB's first. Nobody really cares about Kickers 😂

I might be missing something but do we have to go one position at a time? I’ve done RFA before when we did all positions at once and had the 24 hour bid rule and then the original owner had a chance to match. We had tabs for each position to keep it organized but overall it ran smooth. We could do offense at one time and defense after to break it down some

But yeah maybe offense and defense would be a compromise.

We could do offense at one time and defense after to break it down some We don't have to do it a position a week, but in a normal off-season, which likely won't happen until the 2023 off-season when guys that were signed to 3 year contracts initially become FAs, there will be a large number of RFAs in each position and cutting it up into position groups will help everyone. It will help the staff more easily keep track of bids to make sure they are all legal and it will prevent teams from spreading themselves thin trying to bid on multiple guys in multiple position groups. Also doing it one position at a time will give us something to do for a good amount of time over the off-season so we do not have multiple down times where we are waiting for the next thing to come up

The benefit I see to having offense and defense or something like that is that there is no sniping of bids. We did 24 hours outstanding bid and then the home team has a chance to match for 48 hours.
