Consolation Bracket

So something I thought about bringing up last year was doing a consolation bracket to the league. It was something I just didn't get around to bringing up, but will do so now. 

With 12 teams making the playoffs, the other 12 teams are left with nothing going on for the last few weeks of the season. My thought would be to add a consolation bracket where the teams that finish 24th, 23rd, 22nd, and 21st would get the round 1 bye and have 20th play 13th, 19th play 14th, 18th play 15th, and 17th play 16th in the first round. 

Round 2 would be 24th vs highest seed remaining, 23rd vs 2nd highest seed remaining, etc. 

I am open to suggestions on other ways to do this if you guys like the idea, but want to do something else.

I would be in favor on a conso bracket. Also I would be in favor of a championship bracket with a consolation as well. I’m not sure what incentive we could put in besides draft order? But I would be in favor of the extra weeks of competition

Maybe the winer of consolation bracket can ger some aditional pick in 4 or 5 round

DFL where some of you guys are from, we give a comp pick to the winner of the consolation bracket, which is what I would lean toward doing. It is a FA 1st at the end of that round, but since we do not have a FA draft it would need to be a rookie pick, I personally think the 25th pick would be a little much, but would the 49th pick (end of round 2) be too little?

Consolation bracket for shits and giggles. Don’t like picks tied to it. That’s just me though

I like the idea of the consolation bracket and the winner receiving a compensatory pick
